Our teachers know their students and work with them to help them realise their potential as learners. Our focus on authentic learning and authentic assessment ensures that we challenge our students to grow in their learning and achieve their personal best.
Throughout our community of Sydney Catholic schools, we have shown high performance of our students in measures such as NAPLAN and the HSC.
Student Performance – National and State-wide tests
The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. The tables below show the percentages of students who achieved particular skill bands in numeracy and the aspects of literacy.
Gifted Education – ICAS
Each year students from Years 2–6 are invited to take part in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools, or ICAS for short, which is an independent, skills-based assessment program. ICAS recognises and rewards student achievement.
Sporting Competitions
Each year, the children of our school participate in a range of sporting opportunities. All students from K–6 participate in our school Athletics Carnival. Children who are 8 years and older participate in our school Swimming Carnival
Students turning 8 years or older, who demonstrate a high level of skill in a particular sport are able to participate in a range of representative pathway sporting opportunities. Some of the sports include Swimming, Cross Country, Athletics, Soccer, Netball, Rugby League, Touch Football, Softball, Tennis and Basketball.
